Background
Em Franklin is a Nashville-based singer-songwriter whose sound lives at the intersection of honest emotion and electric energy. Raised in the suburbs of Cleveland, Ohio, she grew up in the wings of live music, literally, hauling gear and selling merch for her dad's band since she was four. That early obsession with the stage, combined with a lifelong habit of turning feelings into poetry, eventually pulled her in front of the mic herself. Shaped by the heartfelt twang of country radio, the bold theatrics of Miley Cyrus, and the genre-defying restlessness of Radiohead and Paramore, Em forged a sound that refuses to be boxed in.
